EnCirca is rolling out upgrades to our account system.
Changes include:
- Passwordless Logins. Instead of entering a password, users will be emailed a six-digit time-based one-time-passcode (TOTP) to login. Codes expire after 20 minutes.
TOTP is more secure since passwords are notoriously easy to hack. Also, using the same password for multiple websites is an ill-advised, but a common practice. When one of these other websites are breached by hackers, all of the websites using the same password are now vulnerable. TOTP eliminates this risk.
This is a mandatory upgrade for all accounts.

- Microsoft and Google login. Users can choose to login using their Microsoft or Google account provided it uses the same email address associated with their EnCirca account. In this scenario, no TOTP will be emailed.
How to sign in with Google/Microsoft
- Expanded Multi-Factor-Authorization support. EnCirca will now support MFA apps from Microsoft, Google and Authy. MFA is required for several domains, including .BANK, .INSURANCE and .POST. EnCirca highly recommends MFA for all customers, in addition to TOTP.
Go here for information on adding MFA to your account - Teams support. Account owners are able to add additional users to their account and define different permissions for each. The initial roles are: Owner, Admin, Billing and Tech.
Enabling teams info is available here
ACTIONS REQUIRED
- Make sure your account’s customer email address is accurate and accessible.
- If you are currently using MFA, you must re-enroll MFA after you login,
- Account owners are recommended to add at least one new team member to their account. Solo users can even use this to set up a back-up login for your account.
- For customers who have multiple MFA users, Account owners should activate MFA and then add desired users as members, each with a different email address. Added members will then need to re-enroll to their MFA app when they first login.
